I am an actress, directress, creator of immersive performance and video art.
I like to call my work performance as witchcraft - putting a spell on reality by performing otherness in actu. I refuse to accept the denial of existence beyond the scope of so-called normality. Through working with sensuality and intimacy in a shared space with the audience I aim to create emancipatory experiences of transformation and disruption.
Shapeshifting is at the core of my practise. Shifting the bodies towards virtualities, shifting language towards onomautonomy, shifting between genres, medias and disciplines, as an artist, researcher, lecturer, collaborator.
Shapeshifting belongs to the realm of the mystical, of figures like ghosts, witches, avatars. Those figures offer the potential to excess, to shift our perception towards the more than normal.
Furthermore, I facilitate workshops and lectures on performing and research based and collaborative scenic arts.
